Speaker 1:

Hey, hey, hey, hello everyone. Welcome to another episode of the second, my second, season of Unvalued. This is your host and your favorite host. This is George. We're going to start an episode right now and here at Twitch today. This is going to be this new season. It's going to be in Twitch as well. So we recorded and we are live in Twitch right now. We talk and we are live as well. So, welcome. This is George. This is Unvalued. Thanks for being here.

Speaker 1:

So today, I just finished I nearly finished my breakfast, and the guys that are in the Twitch I don't know if they feel that I started being a different character which is on George and it's a different character, all right. So I started the show and then I just put it on the. I cannot, I just, I mean, my son is Holland, there you go. So, yeah, I'm back here. So this is another episode of Unvalued. Remember, guys, this is the new season, the fresh season. Yesterday in Australia, we have the last episode which we've been DJ for. I think it's five hours. I don't know if this dreaming episode is going to be on Twitch. Hopefully the guys release it. I don't know how the systems works with Twitch. I'm very new on the platform, so I just encourage you guys to follow this project. I got Danny Fuentes on Twitch and there's a bunch of people here I just want to say hello. There's three people at the moment in my present connected with me, which I love it because, oh, no, two. Now that's enough, I don't need anything anyone else. So today I just want to talk about when we lose the ability, the ability to talk, and we replace it for the ability to scroll or to swipe, because before I started recording this, I was worried about the music, because the music is not playing in the background. It is on Twitch, I think, but I don't know if it's in the podcast, probably not, I don't care. However, I decided to start recording because this is a new season. Yeah, guys, enjoy.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, this idea came into my mind. The other day, I was at the gym and I started because you know every time you go, if you go to the gym or whatever, whatever place you go, you just go there, have a little cup of people around it and they just on their phones the whole time. And right now there's TikTok. I think TikTok is more scrolling and I think that application was invented by the Chinese, and I think the purpose of that application was to be to like everyone, can, you know, post whatever without having like a lot of followers and stuff like that, and being like everyone you know, like be more available for the public. I think we just that was a nice purpose. I think, in my opinion like for that application to be available and everyone can just go and, you know, just post a video or post whatever they want.

Speaker 1:

But suddenly I don't know who was the theme, but everything changed and there was a lot of TikTok, dancers they call it dancers, so there was people dancing, my goodness, and then, yeah, all these people, and there was like a lot of trends that there was. Sometimes I just saw people on the ground moving their hips I don't know how they call this movement but those like kind of trend, like during COVID, and then moving like they're doing dancing. It's like we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, and people, and then people just get vital for that stuff and I don't want to judge them because I'm a content creator as well. So I can't, I don't be able to judge anyone who is doing that for living. I don't, I don't do this for for living, probably at the moment I wish I could get some income, but if that's not going to happen, I don't care, I don't really care. But yeah, and then TikTok, tiktok just introduced these scrolling thing and then they just have these videos, like one minute videos, which I try to avoid them because they you can get more distracted. I won't be able to do this podcast if, if I'm into that with that mindset of one minute, one minute, you know, one minute brain, let's say we look like fish, you know fish. They just have this memory. It's different memory to that, but it's jumping into things and it's like feeding that distraction. You just get one minute and then you swipe or scroll, and one minute swipe and then swipe.

Speaker 1:

And that thing impacted the music industry, for instance. So the other day I went to a music record, like a music shop, music shop near where I live, and then there was a guy, mature, probably more, a little bit older than me, probably, which is good, I don't judge, I'm just age and that's good, more experience and because experience is good also, you know, like I'm just dealing with a guy, my friend has 28 years old and then we just doing a new project, music project. He's younger but I'm a bit older, so I got more like control of things in terms of music, a different taste, and that's good because we just compliment each other. So, yeah, I was at this music shop and in near where I live and then I just talked with a guy who is the owner, I think, of the business and I went like, well, can you please? Because I started looking after the vinyl and I saw Pink Floyd, which I love, this band and I think, metallica and Gansan Roses, ac-dc, you know these dinosaurs and asked him like please tell me what are the new artists like, the new bands like? If there's any new band like it, can you know, get into this level of AC-DC or Nirvana or whatever those bands that we listened? And then the guy went like no, now the music industry has been impacted by this, the social media, because right now people they don't get connected with a band like before, like you know.

Speaker 1:

So this fan thing, you know, when you're a fan of a band, that thing is just, it's stinted right now in the society, in the community, on the whatever, because no one is a fan, like a true fan. So everyone is like, yeah, I just, I like this band, for instance, but, like he told me, like there's a new band and it's just for probably six months and then people, they just stop hearing to that band, they just stop listening, they stop following the band. Actually, that's the technical thing. So they're not true like true fans. They just, yeah, just follow for, let's say, a couple of months and then you just drop it and then you just find another band and that person he might thought like I don't know if you guys agree, but he thought like, oh, this is what is happening. So the society is being distracted by all this, all this right, social media and this, and that's why that will impact some of the industries, especially the music industry, which is, yeah, so what's the strategy to overcome to all this? Because you need to find a strategy, so you need to adapt to those things. Or, yeah, I think we have to adapt. In my opinion. I don't know, guys, what do you think now in your house?

Speaker 1:

But whatever you listen to this podcast or the Twitch right now we're on Twitch. Thank you, we've got two people. Two people is enough, I think. Yeah, that's all right. We had one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine we have nine people connected before, but before I was doing my breakfast and right now I'm just recording a podcast, which is interesting, right. So I just woke up. I woke up and then I started my coffee and I started recording it in the stream set up and then I started recording a podcast, which is that's what I do Now. It's like a video podcast, because now I'm taking this into the video. So actually I'm full right now. I'm just going to leave this one for now and I believe I'm going to move to the other locations. Hold on a second, all right, all right, all right, so, yeah, so finally, I just want to say thank you for all the people who was here on the stream. I just get ready. Whatever is watching the Twitch, thank you.

Speaker 1:

And going out now all these things about scrolling, swiping, reminds me that I need to go outside and live and live my life. I just encourage everyone to do the same. Talk with a stranger. I always say that that's a good thing. Make sure humans make new friends. You can meet me as well. I'm very open to have new friends. So, yeah, guys, stay safe. Enjoy the summer here in Australia, enjoy the winter, whatever you are, enjoy life and have a good day. And yeah, I'll see you in the next episode. Happy days.
